Itinerary
DAY 1: ARRIVAL AND CITY TOUR IN LA PAZ
Transfer from the airport to your hotel.
Walk through the historic city center, walk through the typical local markets and the famous "Witches Market". Enjoy amazing panoramic views from the Teleferico (Cable Car), crossing the city towards the south zone and continue to the Valley of the Moon.
Day 2: La Paz - Copacabana - Sun Island - La Paz
We will pick you up from your hotel between 07:00 and 07:30 hrs (only hotels from the center of the city) and we begin our trip to the Titicaca Lake, we will travel through the Altiplano (High Plateau). After a 2 hour trip we arrive to the narrower section of the lake: the Strait of Tiquina, we will cross it in a the rudimentary local ferry along with local people,
Arrival to the town Copacabana at 12:00 and we will have lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch we will get on board of a public boat to travel through the Titicaca Lake, along with other tourists and town people, to the Sun Island. In Sun Island we will visit Yumani, there we will visit “Escalinata Del Inca” (Inca’s stairs) which leads us to the “Fuente de las 3 aguas” (the Fountain of the 3 Watersheds), the tradition dictates that if you drink from its water you can have eternal life.
You will have some time to take pictures of the lake and the astonishing Royal Range of the Andes and we will go back to the boat to return to Copacabana, there we will make a quick visit to the town, enriched by the combination of the Andean and the Christian points of view, the religious sanctuary in honor of Candelaria Madonna, an important pilgrimage site for Bolivians, is located in this town.
Bus to La Paz city at 18:30, arrival to La Paz bus station at 22:00 approximately, where our transportation will be waiting to take you to your hotel.
DAY 3: LA PAZ - SALAR DE UYUNI - COQUESA - LA PAZ

At the tour first we will visit the Train Cemetery and the town of Colchani where you can learn more about Uyuni’s mining past and its artisanal salt production present, later we will enter to the amazing Uyuni Salt Flat, and arrive to the “Salt Hotel-Museum”, the first of its kind that nowadays works only as a museum. On our way we will be able to see fantastic optic illusions, able to see in raining season (December- March), and also we will visit “Ojos de Agua” (Eyes of water), small salt eruptions which help us to explain the development of this huge salt lake.
At noon, you will reach the “Incahuasi Island” in the middle of the Salt flat; there are extraordinary calcareous rocks, large populations of Cactus, local fauna and spectacular 360 grades panoramic views of the Salt Flat from the summit.
We will continue our tour to the north part of the salt flat, there we visit a local museum, where we will be able to see pre-Columbian mummies and later we will get to the Salt Flat viewpoint at the foot of the Thunupa volcano. At the end of the afternoon, return to Uyuni.

DAY 4: LA PAZ - RURRENABAQUE
45 minutes flight to Rurrenabaque, rest of the day at leisure in order to enjoy this beautyful town at the entrance of the bolivian amazon.
Day 5: Rurrenabaque - Chalalán Ecolodge
We start the trip by motorboat towards the Ecolodge. The trip takes 5 and ½ hours approximately, navigating the Beni and Tuichi rivers, the trip is an opportunity to enjoy and appreciate beautiful landscapes such as the Bala Canyon, landscapes of the tropical jungle, with the possibility of observing some animals and birds during the trip until arriving at the port of Chalalan (Half way along the route we serve a box lunch or snack). From the main port we start a 25 minute walk following the Jaguar trail until we reach Lake Chalalan where the Ecolodge is located.
In the afternoon, we will have a hike along one of our trails, where the local guide will interpret the humid tropical forest and its traditional uses for the local Quechua-Tacana community. Return by boat to observe some species of monkeys and birds.
After dinner we will enjoy a short walk to observe the nocturnal life of animals, especially variety of insects.
DAY 6: CHALALÁN ECOLODGE - MADIDI PARK
After breakfast, we will have a short trek of 3 to 4 hours along the Tapacaré path, where the local guide will deepen the interpretation of the rain forest and the ecological processes.
In the afternoon, after a short rest (siesta), you will visit the viewpoint from where you can see the beautiful landscape of Lake Chalalan and the extensive primary tropical forest of Madidi National Park. Talk about the history of the community, the Chalalan project and the creation of the Madidi park.
Dinner will be ful of typical food, and later we will enjoy a special activity to observe the impressive shine of the eyes of alligators and other animals.
DAY 7: MADIDI PARK - RURRENABAQUE - LA PAZ
Very early we will have our lst hike along one of our trails where you will have your last chance to observe some animals and birds. It is time to walk to the port of Chalalán to board the motor boat back to Rurrenabaque. During the trip it is recommended to be always attentive on the way to observe some animals. The return trip down the river takes only 3 hours.

DAY 8: LA PAZ - CHACALTAYA - LA PAZ
At 09:00 you will be picked up from your hotel, the trip starts going up, by a very scenarist and panoramic road, seeing beautiful lakes and lagoons of many and different colors formed by the snowed mountain melting. The road to the base of the 200-meter (660 ft) drop is reached by a narrow road, also built in the 1930s. Ascending by car to the refuge at 5300 m.o.s.l. a place from where we will enjoy a wonderful view of the Real Andean Range of Bolivia and with a just unique panorama, which you will just never forget.
Chacaltaya (5421 masl) mountain in Real Andean Range located about 30 kilometers (19 mi) from La Paz city, near to Huayna Potosi mountain. The glacier on Chacaltaya served as Bolivia's only ski resort. It was the world's highest lift-served ski area, the northernmost ski area in South America as well as the world's closest to the equatorial line.
Its snow disappeared, the meltdown was caused by global warming and natural variation in the local climate around Chacaltaya, but its weather is cold. The view is an incomparable panorama of the Real Andean Range as they are: Illimani, Mururata, Huayna Potosí and others; you can appreciate the Lake Titicaca in the distance.
Day 9: Return
